Judging
This year we have an excellent list of judges both Monday and Thursday night.
- Steve Drzewiczewski (head judge)
- Aurelie Tye
- Joe Mahoney
- Lucy Dunne
- Michael Smith
- Ogden Sawyer
- Paolo Piselli
- Shawn Hershey
- Willow Colson-Wall
Prelims will be based on individual dancing and connection with each other.
We will rotate follows after each song until all judges have enough information
to make their decisions. Songs will range in tempo from slow to fast for lindy
hop to various forms of blues/jazz for blues.
Finals will be based solely on partnership between the randomly selected
couples. Winners will be announced on same night as finals are run (Thursday)
and result will be posted the next open Monday (June 2nd).
Note that winners of this regional contest are not only responsible
for providing their own transportation to the finals of the Intergalactic
competition near Betelgeuse in the Constellation Orion, but that the organizers
are not responsible if any of the finalists are in any way ingested by a
hostile lifeform, whether part of the competition or not...Good luck!
