Contest to Benefit Tufts Charity

Marathon: Monday, April 21st, 2008

Guess Mike #1's (aka Mike Jonas) finishing time at this years Boston Marathon and win a prize. For each minute that you are off (slower or faster) you pledge to donate $1 to the charity sponsor for the Tufts President's Marathon Challenge. You can cap the amount of your total donation in increments between $5 and $30. You get a wildcard minute for each increment above the $5 base. You can use the wildcard minutes to add or subtract from your guess to match the final time and avoid giving those dollars. The person that gets closest to actual time (excluding wildcard minutes) will win a Boston Marathon mystery prize.

Mike pledges to match every dollar you donate if he runs slower than the time that you guess (maximum of $10 per person and $100 per contest). If he runs slower than 5 hours or does not finish, Mike will donate the maximum of $100 and you will owe nothing.

Remember that you can cap your estimates by:

$10 and receive 1 wildcard minute
$15 and receive 2 wildcard minute
$20 and receive 3 wildcard minute
$25 and receive 4 wildcard minute
$30 and receive 5 wildcard minute

You will not need to actually donate until after the marathon, when you will have two weeks to do so. You can donate directly online at Mike's Tufts Marathon Challenge Home Page. If you don't want to play but still donate, you can do so any time via the same link.
